Helio Soneca Seminar was a Success
The Helio Soneca Seminar of April, 2009 was a fine event. Students learned a variety of sweeps and submissions from the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu master. Plans are being made to bring Professor Soneca to NYBJJ on a regular basis. Check the photogallery for more images from the seminar.
Marcelo Garcia Semina, March 2009
World Champion Marcelo Garcia's seminar at NYBJJ was a major success. Over 40 students attended and were instructed in the lastest techniques for effective Takedowns as well as extensive instruction in Marcelo Garcia's X-Guard. We will be going over many of the techniques in class in the coming weeks and the academy woudl like to extend its thanks to Marcelo Garcia for doing such a fine job of instructing our students.
Our Programs
MMA Training - offers a Mixed Martial Arts training class where students learn to apply their Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques when their opponent is not wearing a kimono (uniform). MMA encompases a variety of strikes, kicks, grappling and takedowns. - Read More
